At South Texas Eye Consultants, we strive to make your visit as comfortable and suitable as possible.
During your eye exam dilation of your eyes is probable. Dilation typically last up to 4 hours. You will be light sensitive and have an inability to see up close. However, some people have difficulty seeing at farther distances and have difficulty driving. If you have never been dilated, you may want to arrange for someone to drive you to your appointment or have someone available to drive you home if needed.
Please bring a picture ID, current medical insurance card(s), a list of any medications and eye drops that you are currently using, along with your eyeglasses or contact lenses. To make your check-in process as swift as possible, please print and complete the following forms at home and bring them with you to your appointment.
